Living Room International Music is proud to announce the release of a deeply moving music album inspired by the stories of its patients and the organization’s mission of compassionate care.

The first song from the album, titled ASAI—which means “warm hug or embrace” in Kalenjin—embodies the culture of embracing Living Room’s patients with dignity, love, and song as they journey through their hospital stay. This project aims to celebrate life and honour the experiences of those in Living Room care and raise crucial funds to ensure that every patient receives quality healthcare, comfort and hope in their final moments.

At The Living Room International, music is not just a background melody; it is woven into the very fabric of care. It is how we comfort, celebrate, grieve, and honor the lives of those within our care. Whether through a gentle song sung at a bedside or a chorus of voices welcoming a patient with love, music carries the weight of human connection. ASAI is more than just a song—it is a tribute to the resilience, value, and dignity of every person who walks through our doors, a reminder that they are seen, cherished, and held in God’s great love.


This album is a global collaboration featuring renowned artists such as Pambio, Kanjii Mbugua, Rigga, and Atemi from Kenya, as well as James Paek, May Angeles from the US, and Beka Dawn. Their collective voices bring a unique blend of musical influences, uniting cultures in a shared mission of love and dignity for the patients of Living Room.

Pambio Worship Collaborations

Pambio Worship has been on a mission to bring the Kenyan sound of worship to the world through powerful collaborations and heartfelt ministry. From intimate worship sessions in hospital rooms at The Living Room to leading guest worship experiences in local churches, their music creates sacred spaces where people can encounter God in every season of life. Their global reach is evident in collaborations such as Kama Si We Baba with Kanjii Mbugua, Moyo Wangu with Evans Simali and Cindy Muiruri, You Remain with Tim Grand, and No One Greater with Gather Worship and Elevation Rhythm. Whether lifting voices in a moving van or at a Worship Night Pambio Worship continues to bridge cultures through worship, reminding people everywhere that God’s presence is near in both joy and sorrow.

Kanji Mbugua

For Kanjii Mbugua, a longtime friend of The Living RoomInternational and the Executive Producer of ASAI – The Album, witnessing this extraordinary ministry stirred something deep within him. He knew he had to bring all his talents, connections, and experience to create something that would honor and sustain this work.

Partnering with The Living Room Music Team, he gathered worshippers, artists, and producers from around the world— friends who shared a heart for worship and a belief in God. Who would have ever thought there would come a day when music would be so intertwined with healing, hope, and comfort in the way it is here? And yet, at The Living Room, that day is today. Through ASAI – The Album, voices from across the globe are joining in a song of love, dignity, and God’s unshakable presence.

Rigga

Rigga is a multitalented worship leader, singer-songwriter, rapper, producer and entrepreneur.

In ASAI- The Album he served multiple roles from writing the music, singing it and recording and producing it. For Him The Living Room was a life changing experience that impacted his heart so much that he has become a supporter and friend of all things Living Room and Living Room Music.

James Paek

James Paek is a songwriter, vocalist, storyteller, liturgist and singer-songwriter. He is part of Common Hymnal, a curation of music, writing and liturgy that is a reference for Christians navigating difficult times. James has also collaborated with Maryann George and Jekob Washington, among others.

James sings the songs Karibu Nymbani (Welcome Home) with Evans Simali from Pambio and Tumaini (Hope). His contribution to the Living Room's Asai album has been life-changing for him and created a work of God's wonder, bringing together the body of Christ's expression of God in a contemporary way.

May Angeles

May Angeles is a California local and first-generation Filipino American whose faith and love for God dictate her soul's endeavours. She is a Music and Worship Graduate from Vanguard University. A winner of the GMA Immerse Female Artist/Writer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.

May has been part of successful worship collectives such as People and Songs and The Emerging Sound. She is also part of a viral Revelation Song rendition with Jennie Lee Riddle.

Her gift of art extends into illustration and digital art. Her desire to glorify God is showcased in all the forms of art she works on including her art.

Rebekah Dawn

Rebekah Dawn Gituthu is an American-born, Kenyan-raised Gospel musician. Her Swahili song Kutembea Nawe (To Walk With You) has over 6 million views on Youtube.

She is a gifted addition to the sounds of Asai as a musician and also as one who carries a gift as a psalmist.
