I have never been one to enjoy the work of packing and moving, but last Friday’s shift to Kimbilio Hospice was long awaited and much anticipated. For the entire Living Room team, it was a remarkable day filled with joy and celebration. I wish each of you could have joined us for it. One highlight for me was, after an extremely busy day, sitting with our dear guests and team members to share a meal together. The sense of community and ‘home’ I experienced as we fed patients and reminisced about the journey felt sacred. In that moment, I was overwhelmed with gratitude to God for dreaming this dream and for all who believed in it and sacrificed to help make it a reality.
