In February of 2011, Purity arrived to Kimbilio Hospice lethargic and weak, weighing a mere 17 pounds. Like too many orphans, this four year-old had experienced great loss in her short life. Lack of food and care had left her severely malnourished and struggling to survive. The Living Room team welcomed her into Kimbilio Hospice and had the privilege of witnessing her come back to life. After two months of intensive care, Purity was able to move to her loving aunt’s home in a nearby village. Our home-based care team continues to monitor Purity within the community.
